Spring 2026 SpringFest Events
GatorFest & SpringFest at San Francisco State University are two unique series of events held at the start of each semester. They're designed to welcome new and returning students to campus and help them connect socially and academically during the week before classes starting and throughout the first months of the semester.
These events are more than just welcome events... they are events that create inclusive environments and provide wholistic opportunities for students from all backgrounds to find and engage with their new community. These events support new students in their academic, social, and personal transition to SFSU and their new home in San Francisco while celebrating our returning students coming back to campus.
GatorFest & SpringFest help students to...
- Start strongly academically through extended orientation workshops.
- Get to know campus resources that will help with academics, wellness, and social life.
- Understand SFSU's inclusive campus values, traditions and student activities.
- Meet clubs, organizations, fraternities, sororities, and other campus communities.
- Connect socially with fellow students, faculty and staff.
- Explore San Francisco and the campus.
- Develop a strong sense of pride and belonging within the university.
- Craft a story about the university experience beyond just the degree.

To participate in events, students must sign the waiver before hand. Waivers will be avialble at each event incase your didn't sign it before hand.
