During each week of New Student Orientation, campus partners provide education sessions or open drop-ins that help students understand the essentials services, resources, and opportunities to support their college career. These sessions are available each Orientation session day. Attend as many as you like and repeat as many as you like! We want to give you and your student the space to ask questions and begin meeting other students and campus resources.

You can review the session options and additional information on the Educational Sessions Webpage.

To best update and review the information from SF State in anticipation for Fall 2021, New Student and Family Programs is hosting the Family Forum webinar once a month during June and July. The Family Forum brings together campus administrators from Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, University Housing and Residential Life, and Equity and Community Inclusion. The forums will explore topics that best equip families and student supporters with information to support their student’s transition to college and provide updates from the University. The forums are a great place to ask questions have the latest news for Fall 2021.
